Splashing at Sea World

The lazy days of summer continue with a visit to Sea World.

It's the perfect place to enjoy the ocean air.  And possibly get a bit wet?

What is it that makes us, who are too chicken to sit in the wet zone, SO enjoy watching the wet zone people GET WET!????

Yep.  Lovin it!

SeaWorld takes you on a one-of-a-kind journey to the wonders that exist beyond the ocean's door. A place where up-close encounters connect you to the energy, excitement and mystery of the sea and sea life. A world of fascinating days, captivating nights and exhilarating adventure.

Nicolas: High School Senior Portraits On location Photographer

I love it when my seniors have special places in mind for their senior portraits.  Of course I have lots of ideas if they need help - but in this case, Nicolas knew he wanted to capture his life on the football field.

So that's where we met for the first half of his senior portrait session.

Then we headed to his backyard for a change of outfits and a change of background.

Best of luck to you!

Football is like life, it requires perseverance, self-denial, hard work sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority.

The lazy days of summer....

How are YOU spending the lazy days of summer?  Maybe some walks on the beach? (see yesterday's blog.)

Some peaceful time in the garden?

Or maybe sippin an iced tea and listening to the bees buzz?

Ocean treasures left on the shore, Nature's gift to adore

Out with my pal Wendy for a lovely morning walk on the beach!

Everything was just so beautiful, I had to pause a few times to pull out my iPhone camera, just to share it with you....

From new and unusual discoveries...

Then we spotted this sweet old lady gathering shells...and decided we would like that to be us in 30 years....still walking and still enjoying the salt air, the birds, the shells and the gentle foam of the waves.

How's that sound to you?

When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple
with a red hat that doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
and satin candles, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I am tired
and gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
and run my stick along the public railings
and make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
and pick the flowers in other people's gardens
and learn to spit.

You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
and eat three pounds of sausages at a go
or only bread and pickles for a week
and hoard pens and pencils and beer nuts and things in boxes.

But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
and pay our rent and not swear in the street
and set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

The Wedding of Lindsay and Tanner: The Reception San Diego, La Jolla Mormon, LDS Temple Wedding Photographer

Such a sweet and loving couple on their beautiful wedding day!

Dancing...

The cake was amazing!  Love the yellow details and don't you think it was clever to put the cake on a glass topped table with a light underneath?

I always ask the bride and groom to step away for one end of the evening portrait - we took advantage of the lovely pool and that gorgeous almost-full moon!

They were also ready to give the trampoline a try...

Then it was time for the bubble exit and they were off to start their honeymoon....

I love bridal party portraits!  It's just a fun group of friends all having the time of their lives - and this group was no exception.

Aren't the girls beautiful?  And I love those outfits!

We had a bit of time for some fun too!

And the fun continues at the reception with the bride and her girls...

Same moment captured by my amazing second photographer:
