Wine Country Wiener Fest 2012 San Diego Portrait and Event Photographer

Each year I'm always proud to be the official photographer for the Wine Country Wiener Fest.

This year it was at the beautiful Mount Palomar Winery.





I have a booth set up to capture free portraits of the Doxies and their families....





But you don't HAVE to be a doxie....

Tomorrow I'll treat you to some wiener dog RACES!




At the Dachshund Family Picnic

Wiggling bundles of energy
Tails tocking in the air
The flopping of a thousand ears
There were dachsies everywhere

Some wore scarves and some wore sweaters
Some came in twos and threes
Some yipped and some were quiet
As they wriggled ‘neath our knees

There were Dappled by dozen
And Brindles by the bunch
Long haired, shorted haired, curlies
All pleading for our lunch

They pranced around like ponies
Toes tapping as to dance
Some hoping for a rendezvous
A dachsie - hund romance

All their people, they stood proudly
Knowing their ‘Hund was best
For all the people who love dachshunds
Are blissfully obsessed

Road Trip! LA Garment District 2012

Once a year, my pals and I head up to Los Angeles for a bit of shopping.

Usually some fabric (I needed some for maternity draping, Wendy had a sewing project,etc.)



We also wander around the Flower Mart - just to enjoy the sights...



The garment district is right there as well, so we always do a bit of window shopping....



The dressiest place I ever go is church....how would I look wearing one of those???

Hmmmm.....



And the BEST deal around on a man's suit!
(And do you think that mannequin needs a bigger size...?)



Perhaps you need something a bit more colorful?

I HAVE, HAVE, HAVE to share that portrait with you - I am just in love with it!

From the sunset sky to the perfectly lit couple (thanks to my second photographer hiding in the bushes with an off camera light) even the koi pond has a beautiful ripple of light....!

....sigh...

The reception was at a private estate with some amazing views!

And of course some of the amazing views were of the decorations.  Look at this amazing little display of their "First Look" portraits (captured by yours truly of course!)



Don't you want one just like that for your family room wall or something?  (Except maybe we'd put YOUR portraits in it instead of Rhett and Marissas...)









And the cake backdrop was just breathtaking!  Everything was designed and decorated by the bride's mom - who has talent beyond belief!



I want that whole thing in my living room too.  Well, maybe except for the cake, I'm not sure how that would keep...





And of course the bouquet toss....

Don't you think the bride's maid's outfits are just adorable?  I just loved them!




And in addition to being beautiful and sweet the bridal party was so much fun!

Ahhh....the romantics.

Such a wonderful, relaxed time!   (I'll be honest here, some of these are from the First Look session earlier in the week - but I thought I'd save them for you....)



Most of these were captured at beautiful Balboa Park - from flowers and forests to architecture to art that park has EVERYTHING!

Marissa and Rhett were married at the San Diego LDS MormonTemple.

Honestly isn't the Mormon Temple just breathtaking?



Photography isn't permitted during the ceremony or inside the Temple, so we waited outside with some of their guests (only a limited number of guests are permitted inside.)

We all kept our eyes on the door, waiting for the bride and groom!







What a beautiful moment!



After a round of congratulatory hugs, we headed to the front of the Temple for one LARGE portrait with all their friends and family.



Then we quickly sorted things out and captured all the combinations of portraits - families, siblings, parents, etc....




And of course, the bride and groom!
