Valentine's Day Care Packages

I'm so excited that I'm part of a group of 18 moms who will be getting together a few times each year (Valentine's, Easter and Halloween) to swap goodies for college care packages!

Last night was our first swap - and each kiddo scored almost 5 pounds of loot! Here's a small sampling of some of the goodies all ready to be mailed out to my Matt.

While I was browsing around looking for a cute idea to bring to the swap, I came upon this fabulous blog entry with 101 Valentine Ideas!

Thought I'd share them in case you were looking for a fun idea too.

Here are a few of my favs (the following photos are not mine - credit goes to Mudpie Studio blog Click HERE )

(Okay this next one won't work in a college care package, but I thought you might like to make this for your sweetie on Valentine's morning....)

I don't understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine's Day. When I think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon. ~Author Unknown

Pam, Can you give me details on the swap? I have a junior and this might be fun for me to set up with his friend's parents.
Thanks!
Also, I love the link to the 100 valentine's. I also have a couple friend's who's children are younger and they are always looking for ideas.

I'd love to Kim~ ! I sent out an email and invited about 12 friends and asked them to invite a friend if they wanted. We each bring 18 of the same thing, then swap! I provided dessert and coffee so those who wanted to stayed after for a chat. I also went to the post office and picked up 18 large flat rate boxes and assembled them, so when we walked around the table picking up each goodie, we just packed in in our box. Each mom took home her own box to add a few personal things and mail the next day! If you email me, I'll send you the exact email I sent out...
