How blessed we are to live in this country and have our freedom?

I hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July and had time to rest and celebrate with loved ones.

We had fun at the local, hometown parade!

...happened to know a few people who were marching in the parade....

Snapped a few photos of some of the other noteworthy entries as well - so you could feel like you were there with us. (Lucky you!)
First of all, this is the van from our local senior center. It's hard to see through the tinted glass, but there are lots of seniors with festive hats and flags waving to the crowd. This is just TOO cute!~
Betsy and Wendy, when we are old and gray, promise me you be silly enough to ride in that parade van with me? And wear a fun hat and wave like crazy through a heavily tinted window?
Anyone want to join us -- we'll make it a date -- say July 4th, 2041....? Or will I be old earlier than that?

Thought this was cute because the windshield wipers were on - waving the flags!

And answer this for me: Is it legal for a clown to drive a school bus with one hand, while waving a puppet with the other hand, WHILE blowing a horn?
Anyone.........??

And check it out: (The princess is waving like a PRINCESS!)
Whaddaya know?

And lest we forget what the 4th of July is celebrating. Let's all stand and give a round of applause please:

Freedom's natal day is here.
Fire the guns and shout for freedom,
See the flag above unfurled!
Hail the stars and stripes forever,
Dearest flag in all the world.

I would rather be the princess with a jeweled tiara, but waving from the balloon covered van is second best...
