Yaprah

About once a year, Mike has a hankerin' for Yaprah.
Yaprah was introduced to us by an old friend who was born and raised in Israel.

Essentially it is grape vine leaves stuffed with a combination of meat, tomato, spices and rice.
(Other countries have similar stuffed grape leaves with different names and different ingredients but THIS one is best)     :D

We start off with our filling:

And grape leaves

Put the PERFECT amount of filling on that grape leaf...

Then ever so carefully, start rollin it up!

Tuck in the little ends and finish rolling...

Perfect! (Can you tell those hands have done this before? Yep, he's a professional)

Then those nice, neat little rolls are steamed for about an hour....

and ta DAAAAAAA

They are ready to eat!
